Chief Architect, Yahoo!
Amotz Maimon is Yahoo!’s Chief Architect, and leads Yahoo!’s Tech Council. In this role he is responsible for Yahoo technology and architecture strategy, direction, and governance; including cloud platform, big data systems, and the overall infrastructures powering all of Yahoo products and experiences. Amotz is also responsible for building a world-class engineering culture with focus on speed and excellence. Prior to Yahoo! Amotz was held several leadership roles at EMC’s Intelligent Information Group, building new, innovative product lines.
Before that Amotz spent a decade as an entrepreneur and leader in small start-ups, including distributed software CDN, Online B2B e-commerce, and web information portals. Earlier in his career he held various technical and management positions at Applied Materials and few other early stage start-ups.
Amotz holds graduate degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Tel-Aviv, Israel and an MBA from Pepperdine University’s Grazadio School of Business.
