Why is Apple’s Facebook Page Completely Blank?

A visit to Apple’s Facebook page will reveal an interesting phenomenon — it is completely blank. Though the page has 7 million followers, Apple doesn’t bother to advertise their products through the platform, which may appear to be an entirely wasted marketing opportunity. Does this tech giant, which spends billions of dollars per year on digital advertising, actually not publish a single post on Facebook? In truth, Apple does advertise on Facebook, and even runs a number of various campaigns simultaneously. Though in the spirit of targeted marketing, Apple ensures each post is focused on the audience it will resonate with most, and doesn’t bother to broadcast a single ad to all of Facebook’s users — including its competitors.
